Pallette Knife Buttercream
Using different sized pallette knives, buttercream is used to build up texture on the cakes surface. This technique is often used to create what looks like a 3-d painting of florals, water, fur or feathers.
Tiered with Sails
Rice sails can create dramatic height and a shimmery sparkle to take even the simplest tiered cake to the next level. Completely edible, these sails can be made into any shape or color to make a delicate but bold look.
Mixed Shapes
Mixing cake shapes and combining techniques can be just stunning. Here, mixing a standard round and square tiers, buttercream wrapping, sugar paste flowers and stenciling are used to make a simple yet complex design.
